Long Way Home was a collaboration between Andrew Piccone and Paul Gorman, published in August 2023. Containing photos, poetry, found text and images and digital collage, this work was over a year in the making and unlike anything either artist had created prior. A love letter to the greater Philadelphia area, with a good deal of humor and several gut checks along the way.

From the description:

What is the work about?

It's about the unknowns, the long walks home, meandering drives with or without gps, wandering and wondering. It's about the Roxborough Acme, the Exton Acme, the Bond shopping center Acme, 69th Street Terminal, the Blue Route, 76, Nick Sirriani's increasing 1,000 yard stare, East Falls, Mount Airy, Upper Darby, Drexel Hill, Millbourne (littlest borough that could!), Belmont Hills, the Montgomery Mall,  the "city" and 3 of the 4 counties, jobs, bosses, kids, partners, parents, friends and family, recovery, loss, grief, harm reduction out of the trunk of your car, unlicensed drivers, petty crimes of your own choosing, Guy Fieri, those damn Morgan & Morgan shitbirds, Mayor Nutter, Jeff Brown is a weirdo, Patti LaBelle, Barack Obama requisite cheesesteaking at Pat's , new construction apartments on top of Chubby's steaks where the rooftop view looks out upon Henry Avenue as the grease gently wafts up to you, Stenton Ave, City Ave, Ridge Ave, Port Royal Ave, Township Line Ave, Island Ave, Lincoln Drive demolition derby, Darby Creek dips, Fine Wine and Good Spirits,  birth, life, death and all of the everything that comes in between.

The zine is sold out, with the final copy being selected to enter the permanent collection of Temple University’s library. Second printing and/or part two to come ….
